Preventing Falls: Night Lamps


It is a good idea to have night lamps in your bedroom, hallways and bathrooms. Night lamps provide lighting during the night in case you wake up during the night to visit the bathroom. Inadequate lighting during the night can cause you to trip over objects and possibly suffer a broken bone or fracture.

Get a family member to help install night lamps. In addition, performing a home safety assessment can greatly reduce your risk of a fall.
